Have you been looking for a quality POS system that does not drain your business of costs month to month? Many systems out there require recurring costs and fees, which means you never recover these ongoing expenses. A better solution is to find a system that you can purchase once and enjoy forever. That system is POSiSales (POSi for short).
It’s an app that runs only on iPads, and links easily to commonly used business POS devices like cash drawers and receipt printers. Specifically, a Star Micronics printer, the all-in-one mPOP cash drawer and printer and the Zebra mobile printer are supported. And you can run multiple discrete iPads with the POSi app, with each iPad printing to the same printer(s) over a wireless network or Ethernet local area network.
And reports from each iPad go to Dropbox.
POSiSales can be setup to work for one account, but on different iPads located in various locations in your establishment. Think different POS locations. Each product category or service sold can be setup to print to a specific printer, as needed. If you were in a home improvement store, let’s say, then the POS system in the gardening area would be linked to the printer in that zone. POS in the plumbing area would print there, and so on. Same goes for restaurants (e.g. bar printer, kitchen printer, reception printer) or any other business that may have different printers for different POS locations.
When setting up POSiSales for your business, the app lets you create your customer database, but there is no need to track customers if it’s not required. Then type in your products or services, configure Bluetooth, a wireless connection or ethernet LAN to the device(s) you want your app to connect to, but note, an Internet connection is not essential. Products can be placed in 40 different categories and each category can group 30 items, making it easy and very fast to view and select products, which is another strong feature of the POSi software for business owners. To make a sale, the user selects from the 1200 products and adds them to the invoice; there are up to 100 concurrent open invoices that can be selected should you be running under a “Tables”, “Jobs” or “Sets” setting. The POSi app totals the sale, factors in the tax rate for the country you are doing business in and stores the data for a report to Dropbox that provides line item details, tax collected, profit and payment method. The invoice remains open until payment has been made.

It’s an app that runs only on iPads, so you also have a mobile solution that links easily to Star Micronics receipt printers and cash drawers or any triggered cash drawer. A small footprint Star Micronics all-in-one mPOP cash drawer and printer is also supported. And you can run multiple discrete iPads with the same POSi app, with each iPad printing to the same printer(s) over a wireless network or Ethernet local area network.

Customers may wish to split the bill, which is supported by POSiSales. A customer can even receive a quote or “Sales Order” prior to proceeding with a purchase, for example, if dining out on a set menu or buying to a budget. Once that is all settled, the invoice prints rapidly to close out the transaction. A selection of payment types including cash or credit card is supported by the system and any change due is calculated automatically.
If you are the type of business that might be sending out invoices for later payment, like for services, this is supported in POSiSales. You can create a new invoice once an agreement to provide services is made, and you can add to it until you are ready to send the invoice. Customers will receive their invoice via email, directly from the app; once the transaction is paid, you can send the goods.
Data from the day’s sales is automatically consolidated cleanly into a report, plus a Till reconciliation report can also get sent to Dropbox. You can view it then and there or later on. If using a Tyro EFTPOS machine (Australia only), it’s already integrated into POSiSales, the money goes straight to your Tyro bank account and if desired, the credit card chit can be sent via text to a smart phone. And of-course the Till reconciliation feature tallies up cash received compared to the Till float.
Should you be changing the majority of your products, or prices, or both regularly, you may wish to export your POSiSales data as a spreadsheet, make the changes first on the spreadsheet format POSiSales provides, then import it, rather than making individual product changes that might take longer.
The POSi app is dead easy to use and frees you up to engage with your customers, so you can create the best possible experience for them. Take their order and then check them out easily, without hassle. Your focus is always on the customer, not on the order or billing process.
POSi has some unique features that allow fractional quantities to be invoiced (e.g. half a tonne of sand). And POSi allows you to set the printer to zero output if no receipt is required. There is the capability to use the POSi app out in the field, as no Internet access is required. A “Quick Cash” button can be enabled to allow a long line of morning coffee customers to grab their coffee as they throw the money into the Till, whilst POSi records the transaction as you tap the “Quick Pay” button – no receipt is issued, but the coffee queue moves along quickly and the invoice is still recorded.
Finally, POSiSales can be set up to allow discounts and serve up to 100 clients concurrently under different currency and tax regimes (e.g. VAT, Tax, GST), including Dollar ($), South African Rand (R), Pound Sterling (£) and Euro (€).
You can purchase the POSi app online from the App Store or get a quote from POSiSales for a turnkey system with hardware and all your data entered in POSi, so it’s ready to work “out-of-the-box.
Att :- Dear Dr Imberger,
Thanks for your explanation; I will be scrapping the idea of buying a Zebra, I’d rather stick with Star printers, they are so reliable really, I had mine since 2013, and still running like a tank.
So if I install a (Star Micronics TSP143IIIBI-230 Thermal POS Printer 203 x 203 DPI – POS Printer (Thermal Print, POS Printer, 250 mm/sec, 203 x 203 DPI, 7.2 cm, Grey) , all I have to do is download the Star driver
and pair it with the iPad Bluetooth and insert BT:TSP100, In the Edit business POSiSales right, should work.
Must I wait for the new version of POSiSales (Version 2.0.13.16) first.
Also, POSiSales for me was a lifesaver, really, I cannot imagine my life without it, I will surely write a comment on your.
Regards,
