The owner of POSiSales IT was educated at Melbourne University. He studied maths, physics, biology, chemistry, and education, graduating with B.Sc. (Hons), Dip.Ed., M.Sc. ,Ph.D.
Dr Imberger went into the IT business and opened an Apple computer store. This is where POSiSales was developed on the iOS operating system, as the first wireless printing POS system using Apple Airport technologies. Dr Imberger’s experience in IT, sales and service of Apple products and software development spans over 40 years.
Helmut Imberger started his career in science, teaching at Warracknabeal High School, RMIT and Swinburne universities and was Senior Lecturer in human sciences and nutrition at the State College of Victoria.
In 1982 Helmut established one of the first Apple resellerships in Australia called IMA Computer Co. P/L, later trading as Pentagon Digital.
In addition to sales and service of all Apple products, point-of-sale software development was undertaken on iPad and called POSiSales.
A government investment grant helped POSiSales to perfect wireless communication via Apple’s Airport technology to print wirelessly to standard printers at a time printers were not wireless capable; the Star Micronics range of receipt printers was chosen for their quality and robustness in this POSi development.
Since 2013, this unique wireless attribute has allowed the low cost, subscription-free POSiSales software on iPad to be used in small business enterprises, including cafes, clubs, florists, restaurants, art galleries, transport, indeed, any business that needs to categorise, sell, track its products and watch the cash flow with great reconciliation and reports, without needing a computer system, just an Apple iPad.
POSiSales on iPad can run stand-alone, in a network, and Internet access is NOT mandatory, so all POSiSales data is saved on the iPad, from where it gets backed up on iCloud.
